The Game Framework team creates and maintains the technology to support interactive content within Avakin spaces. We are looking for an engineer to help us create new content experiences and shape our scripting tool sets. You will work on the bleeding edge, helping us develop new APIs, libraries and exemplar content to inform and guide wider content teams.

The ideal candidate would have experience in scripting / modding other games using Lua or similar, as well as some C# experience in Unity to help with debugging and writing minor extensions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining existing in-game scripted content;
  • Helping define and develop the scripting APIs and core libraries;
  • Create new reusable / reskinnable content types for others to use;
  • Primarily scripting in Lua with some C#.

Requirements

    • Experience in scripting/developing at least one game, ideally to the point of releasing the mod/game to the public;
    • Experience with Lua and Unity C#;
    • Good debugging skills;

    Desirable: Experience with visual scripting systems (e.g. Unreal Blueprints, CryEngine FlowGraph or similar), scripting multiplayer games, design of games / mods, TypeScript/JavaScript, Familiarity with version control systems (Git and Perforce).
