Description

At Lockwood, our vision is to bring people together through Avakin Life so they can play, share and socialise! Listed as one of Europe’s fastest growing tech companies by the FT for 2020 as well as winning numerous TIGA and other awards several years in a row, our journey’s only just begun. With great benefits including an employee share scheme and profit related quarterly bonus, we’re a great destination for those who want to work on cutting edge social experiences in an environment that fosters communication and creativity. We’re always looking for good people – if you are interested in helping us shape Avakin Life’s future, this is a great opportunity.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive self-learner to help us detect, deter and defeat bad actors targeting our game, Avakin Life. Working within the new IT Security team, the successful candidate will be responsible for gathering intelligence on what our adversaries are doing, why they’re doing it and thinking about what we can do to stop them. You will have the opportunity to shape our approach to game security, working with game designers, developers and operations teams to deliver better long-term outcomes for our players whilst also helping us take down immediate threats. You will also be supported in getting started with reconnaissance, data analysis via SQL and other tools, application security and reverse engineering – if you’re interested in a future in IT Security this is an excellent opportunity to start or develop that career path.

What we are looking for above all else is proactivity, a deep love of computing and gaming, and a hard commitment to rapid self-development. Experience in security related fields is beneficial, but we are also open to candidates with general IT or software development experience. This experience may be academic (e.g. a qualification), but demonstrated hands-on skills are also appreciated.
