Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Engineering Director to lead multiple engineering teams in the areas of Rendering & Animation Tech, Art & Performance Tools, 3D Asset Pipelines, and User Generated Content R&D. We are looking for someone to grow with Lockwood, as we continue to expand our company and its products.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple teams of software engineers working various technologies for Avakin Life and Future Products
- Guide and develop engineers, growing their skills and careers
- Support and mentor engineering leads
- Identify resource constraints and build out teams through recruitment
- Drive technical excellence by overseeing technology choices, architectural design and code quality
- Enable the team to succeed by identifying gaps, improving engineering process and providing growth opportunities
- Be the champion for the team when interacting with various stakeholders across disciplines both inside and outside of engineering
Requirements
- Track record of building successful teams and delivering and operating sophisticated 3D software products
- Experience directly managing teams of software engineers
- Experience managing leads/managers
- Extensive prior hands-on software development experience
- Solid understanding of best practices for engineering process, code quality, build/release pipelines server and client side, security and live operations
- Knowledge of the mobile hardware performance constraints and optimisation techniques
- Familiarity with Unity engine development and multiple programming languages (C#, C++, Lua, python)
