We’re looking for an awesome Graduate Art Tools Developer to join the team helping to maintain and develop our art pipelines. You’ll need to have an interest in artist workflows – so you may be either a programmer with some understanding of artist workflows, or an aspiring technical artist with some programming experience. You’ll join our Art and Performance Tools team, and help to develop, support and improve workflows in third party commercial apps for our internal teams, and also contribute ideas and suggestions for the evolution of our workflows, assets and bespoke tools. This role is suited to a graduate that is more methodical, someone that values delivering quality work over a quick solution to a problem.

Responsibilities:

  • Adapting, maintaining and improving our Build Tools and Pipeline
  • Identifying and developing improvements to our existing Maya Scripts;
  • Investigating failures and problems in tools, asset conversion and asset performance;
  • Automating processes that other internal development teams rely on and working with users/stakeholders throughout the company;
  • Initial documentation of pipeline tools/scripts developed for stakeholders/users;
  • Contributing towards planning and development of our Art and Performance Tools for our future plans and growth;
  • Supporting staff with usage (face to face/via zoom) of our internal tools;
  • Ensuring stability and reliability for our internal tools users.

Requirements

    • Some exposure to Python;
    • Some exposure to Maya;
    • General understanding of art workflows – environments/characters/animations;
    • Keen-ness to ensure stability of your work;
    • Able to document own work for other audiences.
